Media Sales Executive

Overview
As a media sales executive, your main responsibility will be to drive revenue growth by selling advertising and media solutions to clients. You will identify new business opportunities and achieve sales targets. This position requires excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, as well as a deep understanding of the media industry. You will also be responsible for building relationships with new clients and working closely with our internal media team.
Key responsibilities
**Sales strategy and target achievement**:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base.
Conduct market research and stay updated with industry trends to identify potential growth areas.
**Client relationship management**:
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Understand client objectives, needs, and challenges to offer tailored media solutions.
Conduct regular meetings, presentations, and follow-ups with clients to ensure client satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities.
**Advertising and media solutions**:
Promote and sell advertising space, airtime, digital campaigns, and other media solutions.
Collaborate with internal teams, such as creative, production, and marketing, to develop customised advertising proposals and campaigns.
Provide clients with comprehensive information about media options, pricing, and audience reach to facilitate their decision-making process.
**Negotiation and contract management**:
Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with clients to secure profitable deals.
Prepare and present sales contracts and proposals to clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Monitor and manage contract renewals, upselling opportunities, and customer satisfaction.
**Sales reporting and analysis**:
Maintain accurate sales records, activity reports, and forecasts using CRM systems.
Analyse sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and develop sales strategies accordingly.
Provide regular reports.
Qualifications and requirements
8-10 years of experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience in media sales, advertising sales, or a similar role
Strong knowledge of the media industry, including print, digital, broadcast, and social media
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to build and maintain effective client relationships
Results-driven mindset with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Familiarity with CRM systems and sales analytics tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
