Event Manager

This prestigious 5* hotel and wine estate is seeking to employ a seasoned events manager who will be responsible for the world-class delivery and execution of weddings and events in the hotel and on the estate.
**Requirements**:
- SA Citizen
- Matric / Grade 12 qualification
- Formal Hospitality Management or Events Diploma / Degree
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a comparable 5* luxury hotel, estate or events company
- Well-presented and professional in approach
- High energy and in good health
- Solid understanding of event marketing strategies, trends, and technologies
- Creative and innovative
- Excellent guest relations and communication skils
- Operationally hands-on running the events
- Strong managerial and leadership skills
- Solid financial acumen to manage expenses within the department and maximizing revenue
- Computer literate
- Tech-savvy
- Be able to work long hours including weekends and public holidays
- Preferably reside in in the surrounding areas or in close proximity to Stellenbosch
- Own transport
