JOB DETAILS
AREA: EAST RAND, GAUTENG
INDUSTRY: LOGISTICS / FREIGHT FORWARDING
SALARY / CTC : MARKET RELATED
REPORTS TO: FINANCE MANAGER
WILL BE AN ADVANTAGE IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
**HUMAN RESOURCES**:
- creating and maintaining employee files,
- confirming employment,
- compiling job descriptions,
- updating policies, and implementing company policies.
- handle ex-employee documentation,
- HR statistics, and communication regarding changes in employment conditions.
- issue letters, process staff loans, and prepare documentation for retrenchment processes.
- manage employment equity committees, BBBEE certificate renewals, and employee benefits.
- manage HR audits and arrange travel requirements for employees.
**INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS**:
- Assist managers with counselling, warning, suspension, and disciplinary hearings,
- ensuring compliance with Labour Laws,
- attending disciplinary hearings, filing documentation
- collaborating with outsourced HR consultants.
**RECRUITING AND STAFFING LOGISTICS**
- Managing vacancies,
- coordinating with recruitment agencies,
- reviewing CVs, scheduling interviews, preparing resignation letters, offering employment,
- preparing new staff documentation,
- guiding inductions, signing documents, and capturing payroll data for new employees.
**TRAINING**
- Complete skills development,
- employment equity documentation,
- provide receptionist training, and facilitate policy presentations.
**BIOMETRICS (TIME AND ATTENDANCE)**
- Collaborate with regional managers on blocking system queries,
- provide biometric training,
- assign clocking numbers, and provide feedback.
**ADHOC DUTIES**:
- Plan year end functions
- Assist the depot with unpack calls when short staffed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management or related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Officer, HR Assistant, or similar role.
- Knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and HR software
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Exemplary work ethics and demonstrate an unwavering commitment to honesty.
**Salary**: R35,000.00 - R38,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Boksburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
