**KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER (PACKAGING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED) - Cape Town based**

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Key Account Manager. The incumbent, will be responsible for all aspects at sourcing and developing new accounts as well as managing and servicing existing packaging customers.

**Qualifications and experience required**:

- Matric / grade 12 as a requirement, a suitable post matric tertiary qualification would be preferable;
- A proven track record with 5 - 10 years key accounts management experience within the packaging industry or similar - essential
- Proven experience in continuously deal with senior procurement staff at customer interface;
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and QuickEasy is essential;
- Knowledge of the retailer-branded packaging industry;
- High level of numeracy with the ability to do forecasting and budgeting;
- Good analytical and lateral thinking abilities;
- Strong Administrative skills with excellent business writing and presentation skills;
- Strong Communication and Negotiation Skills;
- Proven Competence in independently planning and managing own sales plans and initiatives;
- Strong customer focus with commitment to service excellence;
- Professional appearance;
- The ability to work according to strict deadlines on a continuous basis;
- Valid Driver''s License and reliable presentable transport is essential.

**The responsibilities of the positions include the following**:

- Managing and servicing an established portfolio of clients with a national footprint, involving regular travel (Cape Town and surrounding areas i.e. Paarl and Worcester) and liaison at Senior Level.
- Generating new business from clients in the same or aligned industries with a similar need.
- Analyse customer needs and develop innovative solutions to meet them.
- Handling both incoming and outgoing customer liaison.
- Doing market research and analysis and developing suitable sales strategies and plans.
- Meeting monthly and annual sales and profit targets.
- Dealing with all related administrative duties, such as reporting, forecasting, budgeting, estimating and the preparation of quotes.
- Dealing with internal liaison with various departments as and when required.
