The position is accountable for the execution of the MMS Strategy & objectives of the respective territory. It holds full accountability for the sales performance for the specific countries as determined by the MMS Business. The position provides leadership to the MMS sales /clinical/ technical services teams including dedicated as well as non-dedicated associates / all specified distributor personnel when designated as part of the team, for Southern Africa MMS. This key position provides close collaboration and coordination between the BD / MMS businesses as well as geographically located functions and co-ordinates all customer and distributor initiatives in the designated territory.

**Other Key Responsibilities:

- **
- Carries out all aspects of the MMS business strategy for assigned markets to ensure the achievement of financial/budget expectations for each financial year.
- Engages the MMS organization in the territory around objectives with customers and distributors for the complete MMS portfolio.
- Supports the implementation of go-to-market plans, including market development initiatives, to ensure effective use of resources and capabilities.
- Supports the development of marketing plans including MMS value preposition development, product portfolio management and launching new products.
- Support key financial business processes including FOSY / BPCS updates, budgeting, forecasting, reporting & overall sales analysis to determine trends and predict performance.
- Proactively monitors the financial performance of the territory and communicates any deviations from critical project plans. Ensures implementation of any necessary contingency plans and/or corrective actions to effectively mitigate potential risks.
- A key area of responsibility is effective distributor management and ongoing review of the distributors in the territory to ensure that we have the right distributors/ partners to carry the strategy in the territory
- Distribution management including implementation of Service Max if/where applicable and capabilities of distributor sales reps with coaching and performance management and account prioritization & management. This position will serve as a key liaison between distributor & BD Africa / EMA.
- This position will collaborate with the distributor & will hold partner accountable for delivery as per agreement
- Leads demand generation and pipeline management to support accurate forecasting
- Where applicable uses the CRM system (SFDC) to manage the sale force effectiveness critical metrics for the territory
- Overseas the order to cash process for the MMS businesses within the territory
- Understands and anticipates external environment trends & factors this into the execution plans.
- Engage with the external stakeholders, healthcare providers and decision makers to ensure BD understanding of the healthcare agenda and building partnership. Builds understanding and gain acceptance of the BD MMS value proposition among BD partners.
- Motivates and develops talents within the MMS / partner organization in order to advance the strength and the value proposition of the business.

- Proven track record in Sales
- Distributor management experience is key
- Experience in South Africa market is needed. Southern Africa market experience is a plus
