** Regional Sales Manager to Retailers and Wholesales **

Top Distribution firm seeks Regional Sales Manager.

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth through retailers so experience in FMCG sales or sales to retailers/wholesalers. The role is based in the KwaZulu-Natal region. Must be able to manage a team of external sales professionals, and collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement effective sales strategies for promoting electrical products to retailers like Builders Warehouse, Cashbuild and smaller Hardware stores. The person does not need to be an expert in electrical, as the key skillset is leading an external sales team. Experience in any construction related industry is sufficient.

What the person must be able to do:
This role is in the Electrical Distribution sector. All duties would take place in this context.
- Lead and manage a sales team of 23 to 25 individuals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve sales goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with retailers and wholesales to promote electrical products effectively.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop sales strategies, analyse market trends, and identify growth opportunities.
- Monitor and analyse sales performance, make necessary adjustments to strategies, and track progress against targets.
- Prepare sales reports, communicate with internal teams and stakeholders, and ensure coordination of sales activities.

Key Job Deliverables:

- Achieve sales targets and drive sales growth in the KwaZulu-Natal region.
- Ensure the sales team performs effectively, meeting individual and collective targets.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic sales plans.

Qualifications & Background work experience:

- Pref: Sales, Electrical or Construction Qualification
- Successful sales management experience to retailers in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with KZN Construction retailers/wholesalers like Builders Warehouse, Cashbuild and smaller Hardware stores.
- Experience in developing and executing sales strategies.
