Duties/Pligte

The Fundraiser and Partnerships Coordinator for the FMHS focuses on the duties set out below.
- ** Developing and maintaining relationships** by building and sustaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including alumni, individual philanthropists, corporates, foundations and trusts;
- ** Enabling mission delivery and sustainability** by securing philanthropic funding to support the Faculty's mission and sustainability goals, focusing on areas such as student access and success, pioneering and excellent research, infrastructure development, and social impact through community projects and applied research;
- ** Collaborating with the Major Gifts team** at the DAR to secure support across various funding levels;
- ** Increasing financial aid** by raising funds, specifically to support disadvantaged students, thereby enhancing the financial aid that the Faculty can offer;
- ** Bolstering donor confidence and fostering alumni pride** to encourage their ongoing support;
- ** Implementing fundraising initiatives** that include annual and more frequent giving drives targeting FMHS staff, alumni and friends, as well as online giving campaigns;
- ** Assisting with strategy development** by helping to draw up and execute a strategy to meet annual fundraising targets, including a moves management strategy for donor portfolios.

**Expected outcomes after 12 months**
- ** Understanding of the FMHS**: Showing an in-depth understanding of the FMHS and its fundraising priorities and projects, including pioneering research, infrastructure development and community impact initiatives;
- ** Strategy development**: Has collaborated with the Director: Major Gifts to develop a strategy for achieving annual fundraising targets, including a moves management strategy for the donor portfolio;
- ** Relationship building**: Has built significant relationships with current and prospective donors;
- ** Target achievement**: Has delivered against agreed fundraising targets;
- ** Team integration**: Has established credibility with key FMHS staff and become a trusted member of the DAR team.

- ** Werk saam aan strategiese ontwikkeling **deur te help om 'n strategie uit te werk en deur te voer om jaarlikse fondswerwingsteikens te haal, onder meer met behulp van 'n stappebestuurstrategie vir skenkerportefeuljes.

**Verwagte uitkomste na 12 maande**
- ** Insig in die FGGW**: Toon diepgaande insig in die FGGW en die Fakulteit se fondswerwingsprioriteite en -projekte, onder meer baanbrekernavorsingswerk, infrastruktuurontwikkeling en inisiatiewe vir gemeenskapsimpak;
- ** Strategie-ontwikkeling**: Werk saam met die Direkteur: Groot Skenkings om 'n strategie te ontwikkel om jaarlikse fondswerwingsteikens te haal, onder meer met behulp van 'n stappebestuurstrategie vir skenkerportefeuljes;
- ** Verhoudingsbou**: Bou betekenisvolle betrekkinge met huidige en voornemende skenkers;
- ** Doelwitbereiking**: Behaal ooreengekome fondswerwingsteikens;
- ** Inskakeling by span**: Het geloofwaardigheid onder sleutelpersoneel in die FGGW en is 'n vertroude lid van die OAB-span.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- **Higher education and employment experience**:a degree in business, science, medical and health science or a related field; and at least five years' applicable experience in stakeholder management, communications, sales and marketing or the like;
- ** Relationship management**: excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain strong, enduring relationships with diverse stakeholders;
