**Position Summary**:
You are expected to lead the development and execution of robust sales strategies, oversee a team of key account managers and business development professionals, and spearhead efforts to drive performance in alignment with organisational goals.

**Job description**

**Sales Team Management**:
Develop, adopt, and enforce the sales operating model, including sales deployment strategies and sales/account management processes;
Assume accountability for the completeness, accuracy, and effectiveness of sales opportunities;
Improve sales execution through the identification, creation, and use of consistent and standardized tools, levers, and systems;
Establish strong communication cycles/discussions with key account managers to maximize their customer-facing time and focus on achieving results;
Direct and coordinate activities involving sales of products/services;
Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service;
Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability;
Determine price schedules and discount rates;
Monitor customer preferences and focus sales efforts accordingly;
Consult with the marketing department to plan advertisements; and

Develop marketing plans or strategies.

**Performance Management**:
Appraise all key account managers and business development personnel;
Identify key talent and weak performers, taking remedial action as required through training or replacement as and when required; and

Ensure changes are made to create optimal structures and management teams, building a strong talent pool.

**Human Resources**:
Assess sales structures across the region to ensure they are fit for purpose and that the right people occupy the correct positions;
Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and service programs;
Assist in recruiting new personnel and implementing organizational processes or policy changes; and

Develop organizational goals, objectives, and policies or programs.

**Leadership & Reporting**

Preparation of quarterly Board Reports;
Participation in weekly manager meetings with Line Managers;
Facilitation of weekly team meetings;
Attend and participate in Board Meetings;
Facilitation of weekly updates and additional feature developments by the Development team;
Monitoring and reporting on the performance of marketing campaigns;
Tracking and reporting on the growth of social media platforms;
Oversight of the platform security and data protection measures;
Sources funding for new initiatives; and

Management and coordination of press releases and maintaining media presence.

**Finance**:
Prepare and approve budgets and oversee financial operations;
**Operations**:
Assessing monthly sales reports in comparison to predetermined targets;
Conducting monthly budget reconciliation sessions with the Finance department;
Managing the yearly budgeting process and subsequent financial reporting;
Strategizing and supervising marketing campaigns for effective brand promotion;
Directing Platform Development and Enhancement efforts;
Planning and executing launch campaigns;
Designing and coordinating the online events;
Design and conduct student surveys; and

Develop effective sales models to foster continual growth, sales reports, employer database etc.

**University Liaison**

Cultivate and strengthen existing relationships between and with relevant departments;
Consistently follow up on new leads, particularly from new institutions, and adeptly convert conversations into actionable partnerships;
**Industry Partnerships**

Strengthen existing relationships with partners;
Leverage existing partnerships to generate new leads.

**Marketing & Design**

Maintaining and updating the website;
Compiling the Annual Reports and Career Guides;
Designing job descriptions for social media platforms;
Creating marketing content for social media platforms

Sourcing articles for thought leadership content;
Producing marketing materials such as demo videos for employers; and

Designing and distributing ad hoc newsletters for retention purposes

**Qualifications**

Degree in Business Administration or Management or Sales or Marketing (preferred)

**Experience**

Minimum 3-5 years of Management experience, including 2 years in managing a startup company

Professional development in sales and Marketing or Business Development

Experience with HEI (advantageous);
SaaS exposure or experience; and

Tech Savvy.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R48 000,00 - R50 000,00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Stellenbosch, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
