**ROLE OVERVIEW**

Responsible for leading & driving top line revenue strategy for traditional sales related segments to include group, volume transient & catering. Also responsible for staying ahead of market trends, market share movement and ongoing competitive hotel analysis, while directing the property sales teams (rooms & catering) to ensure budgeted revenues are met or exceeded. The Sales Manager is also responsible for developing and implementing a marketing communications plan designed to achieve the desired positioning for the location, as well as managing the sales and marketing budget that supports revenue attainment. As the role is a management role within the business, this person will also be responsible for instilling and encouraging the Neighbourgood culture within the team under their guidance (according to the Neighbourgood Culture Deck). PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE The Sales Manager for our hospitality group serves as the driving force behind our revenue generation efforts. Integral to our team, they are responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive sales strategies that align with our brand's values and objectives. By building and maintaining robust relationships with clients, industry partners, and stakeholders, the Sales Manager ensures optimal occupancy rates across our properties and consistently meets or exceeds revenue targets. Their deep understanding of market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences allows them to identify growth opportunities, paving the way for innovative offerings and tailored packages that appeal to our diverse clientele. Upholding the highest standards of professionalism and service excellence, the Sales Manager plays a crucial role in amplifying our brand's reputation and ensuring long-term sustainability in an ever evolving hospitality landscape.

**REMUNERATION **Salary is dependent on experience. This is a full-time, permanent position. It is an not necessarily an office based position

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**

5 - 10 years professional knowledge and/or work experience

Minimum of 5 years in hospitality and short-term rental experience

2 Years in a management position Industry/related experience - Hotels and resorts or short-term rental experience

**Strong financial skills ** You will be able to demonstrate a high level of agility in a demanding environment and be able to effectively communicate with a broad range of stakeholders.

**Exceptional project management skills will be considered fundamental together with a motivated and commercially astute approach.**

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS**
- Proven track record of successfully building and nurturing multi-level member relationships.
- Ability to effectively interpret and anticipate member needs and foresee problems and prevent them by acting efficiently.
- Excellent time and task management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work both independently and within a team environment, with focus and excellent attention to detail.
- Strategic thinking combined with the proven ability to move strategy to action. Being comfortable in discussion forums; being able to represent ideas succinctly and convincingly.
- Team building skills and proven track record.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsible for leading & driving top line revenue for traditional sales segments to include group, volume transient & FIT.
- Assesses & reacts to market trends, market share & the competitive hospitality environment.
- Develops and implements a marketing communications plan designed to achieve the desired positioning of the hotel, as well as manage the sales & marketing budget that supports all initiatives.
- Act as the companies voice of the customer and communicate key issues/concerns at all levels of the organization.
- Fluent in reading/assimilating/using Research data, financial P&L, mix of sales, forecasting, group pace/position & a wide array of traditional hospitality reporting.
- Ability to understand and communicate market trends, demand generators, supply/demand and economic factors affecting locations performance.
- Conduct comprehensive competitive set reviews, SWOT analysis & keep tabs on new supply.
- Ability to develop a plan to penetrate the primary markets.
- Develop/implement key segment strategy & managing key accounts (both existing & target).
- Design effective sales deployment schemes & market assignments.
- Develop sales goals designed to achieve budget & market share targets. Manage group pace measurement and set sales production goals.
- Manage sales activity & travel schedule.
- Professionally represent the hotel in community and industry organizations and events. Anticipate guest’s needs through observation and offer prompt, efficient service either personally or through effective communication with other colleagues.
