The Pepperclub Hotel seeks and experienced Assistant Executive Housekeeper that will supervise and coordinate the activities of room and house attendants,public area cleaners and floor supervisors. He / She will assist in the managing and directing of the day-to-day operations of all Housekeeping and laundry functions. Participates in and enforces quality assurance for Housekeeping Department and department cost control measures

**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**:

- Preferable Grade 12 and/or Diploma in Hotel Management.
- Must have at least 3 years relevant hotel experience in a 5* hotel.
- Excellent telephone etiquette and written & verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Opera experience is essential.
- Ability to work well under pressure.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:

- Supervise and direct the daily activities of staff so as to enable the efficient and smooth operation of the department.
- Take total responsibility of the department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper including attending all meetings.
- Oversee Purchasing of all consumables for department.
- Stock takes: Stock take Roster planning & Preparations, Spot checks in rooms counted on the day of count and storerooms. Capturing of Stock on the spreadsheets & Planning recounts if variances are found.
- Assist the Executive Housekeeper in collating all stock take figures and ordering of new stock.
- Assist with cost control in all areas and minimise wastage.
- Payroll & Rostering: Time and attendance management for the department, weekly Roster planning Capturing sick notes and all leave. Daily TGO updates.
- Laundry services: Daily spot checks on counts going out and coming in, Capturing Prelist on Spreadsheet before going out and when returned. Following up with Laundry Manager on outstanding linen or issues and concerns
- Monthly Guest laundry account recons and Bulk linen Account recons.
- Public areas - Regular daily checks of public areas
- VIP room checks.
- Continuously endeavour to improve the department’s efficient operation, and knowledge of own job function
