**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist to re-develop and implement a Public Sector strategy and implementation plan
- Monitor, assist and evaluate the salesmen through the Regional Managers
- Establish strong relationships with senior government officials in the 3 tiers, emerging mining companies as well as CIDB contractors and DFI’s
- Assist in Identifying, negotiating, and participating in the various state programmes
- Identify and develop QSE’s and EME’s in various programmes
- Manage the public sector team and ensure that sales targets are met
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategic goals and strategies to maximize short and long term sales and business development goals are met
- Build and maintain solid corporate relationships with the 3 tiers of government countrywide
- Ensuring call reports, reports on lost sales, forecasting, etc are accurately and timeously submitted as and when requested

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Degree in Marketing or Relevant Qualification
- Applicants must have strong communication skills, self-motivated and resourceful
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales managerial or business development capacity or similar
- Understanding of and ability to interact with officials in the 3 tiers of government including SOE’s, Emerging and established contractors
- Understanding of the Principles, procedures, and practices used in the legislative and regulatory environment of the Republic.
- Clear understanding of National, Provincial and Local Government programs, Policies and functions.
- Experience in public communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of Principles, procedures, and practices used in government mass communication and public relations.
- Management and organizational analysis and methods.
- Applicants must be prepared to travel extensively locally and spend time away from home
- Full computer literacy is required in the MS Office suite, CRM and Social media platforms
- Statistical analysis and data processing for management reporting
- Strong track record and skills of complex deal structuring within PFMA, SCM and MFMA frameworks
