We’re seeking a skilled individual with a passion for precision and a background in steel manufacturing.

As a Production Planner, you’ll play a crucial role in optimizing production schedules and ensuring seamless operations.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in production administration within the steel industry is required, at least 2 years ‘experience.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, with demonstrated experience in creating complex spreadsheets and utilizing formulas and functions to analyse data.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate activities across multiple departments.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Obtain and check Costings for local purchase orders.
- Check and sign for all GRV’s received from Receiving team, including returns.
- Distribute Returns to relevant staff members, a copy to Quality and the original to the Sales department.
- Generate and/or Check GRV’s against delivery notes and packing lists.
- Communicate with relevant Departments on arrival of material if necessary.
- Generate list of GRV’s handed over to Finance Team, ensuring a signed copy is returned.
- Compile and format import packing lists in Excell as required.
- Complete orders when instructed, checking against the packing lists if necessary.
- Assist Planners with checking that the relevant documents are attached to the QCP’s to ensure Production have all required documentation.
- When a PSW is required, assist the Planner to ensure all relevant documentation is attached to Mini Project Plan once material has been processed, and hand it to the Quality Department to create the PSW.
- Assist with Planning QCP’s when necessary.
- Assist with running Stock Reports and identifying what may need to be planned.
- Run Incomplete Schedule Report weekly on a Friday and 1st day of the new month, confirming all strips are on the board - all extra strips to be removed and confirmed in Progeny that the QCP is complete.
- Planning Schedules to be filed twice daily in file provided once the board updated and relevant QCP’s issued to the Scheduler by Planners.
- All QCP’s returned from Production to be marked off in the Schedule file to confirm receipt. If a QCP scheduled for cutting is not returned from production - a concern is to be raised with Production Scheduler to follow up.
- Compile daily report on QCP’s processed as per production books - provide feedback on QCP’s not returned to the office.
- Compile daily report for Planning/Production department on QCP’s Planned, Issued & Received.
- Keep a record of QCP’s returned to Production due to queries and follow up that the QCP’s are returned to Planning.
- Run Stock Report to assist with Stock Queries.
- Assist with administrative functions within other departments if the need arises.
