Learning & Development Lead

**We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Learning and Development Lead. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of comprehensive learning and development programs that align with the organisation's strategic goals.**
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Learning and development strategic planning
- Under the guidance of the People Tribal Lead develop strategic plans for the learning and development needs of the company.
2. Manage and oversee all SETA requirements
- The Group is responsible for the administration of its subsidiaries and associates. It will be expected that the requirements set out by the SETA are complied with in line with the respective company’s strategic plans.
3. Managing and oversight of the Learner Management System
- The Group has in inhouse developed learner management (LMS) which is responsible for the deployment of Skills courses and Standard operating procedures. You will be responsible of the effective management of this system in line with the companies' strategies and needs.
4. Managing and oversight of 3rd party training providers
- Under the guidance of the people tribal lead, you will be responsible for identifying the needs of the employees in all of the group's subsidiaries and associates. Once the needs are identified you will be responsible for the sourcing and deployment of the courses in line with the standards and strategic objectives of the respective entities.
5. Career Development Pathways
- The Learner management system has been set up in such a way to be able to facilitate career development Pathway tracking. It is anticipated that you will be able to utilize the system and develop, adjust, and managed the necessary SOPs to enable the company to meet is objectives around internal promotions and employee development.
6. Incubation hub - unlocking a growth mindset
- It is expected that under the guidance of the Group Custodian, you will be a key component of the development and management of the incubation hub. The incubation hub is a program designed to identify areas of concern where tasks need to be performed differently. The incubation hub will pull on the resources and knowledge of other employees to grow and develop new process that are designed to tackle problems differently but more successfully. It is intended that the learning structures will be able to share these skills with other employees once developed by effective training deployment.
**Theoretical Knowledge**:
- Bachelor's degree in Human resources, Education, or a related field
- 2+ Years proven experience as an L&D Lead
- Hospitality & Tourism Industry experience is highly beneficial.
- Successful track record in CATHSSETA
- Management, including WSP submission and management of Learnerships (50+).
- Proficiency in Content Development
- Extensive experience in LMS administration (front and back end).
- Experience in Mentoring and Coaching.
- Proven leadership experience.
- Knowledge of BBBEE within the L&D environment.
**Industry Experience (beneficial to have)**:
- SDF Qualification
- ODETD NQF 6 Qualification
- Assessor NQF 4
- Facilitator NQF 4
- Content Developer NQF 5
- Hospitality Management NQF 6 (Be beneficial)
**Skills**:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite, with emphasis on Planner and Excel.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Demonstrated project management skills, ensuring the timely completion of tasks.
