HR Executive: Operations

Purpose of the Role:
- Overall responsibility for the human resources strategy in support of the organisational strategy.
- Serve as the Cultural Ambassador.
- Develop a high performance culture.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor or Post Graduate Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering or Law (4 year degree).
- Additional Post Graduate Degree an added advantage.
- At least 10 years post qualification experience essential.
- Min. 5 years experience in a Senior Leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in human resources management within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Convincing strategic, business and technical astuteness an added advantage.
The Job:
Reporting to the Managing Director:
- Build a strong understanding of key business drivers and organisational/cultural dynamics and deliver an HR strategy that supports the organisational strategy and delivers results.
- Direct and lead the HR team in developing and implementing worldclass HR management practices.
- Partner with business leaders to provide the organisational and people related strategies to address challenges and achieve objectives.
- Trusted Advisor and Consultant to business leaders on HRrelated matters, including but not limited to employee relations, talent development, performance management and organisational design.
- Drive human resources (employee) experience through effective management of the end to end recruit to retire process.
- Provide accurate management information to the Executive team and the Board
- Lead the development of a human capital pipeline, in partnership with other Divisional Executives.
- Drive employee engagement and maintain sound employee relations.
- Develop a L&D strategy and identify skills and competency (gap analysis) based on the HR and business strategy.
- Develop and implement plans to achieve transformation and Employment Equity objectives.
- Implement HR initiatives that transform and enhance organisational culture and drive a culture of high performance.
- Lead and coordinate performance management system and monitor HR performance metrics for a production focused environment.
- Leverage critical HR data to provide insights to management on trends, etc.
- Develop and implement a humancentric employee value proposition.
- Implement an effective remuneration and reward strategy that aligns to the organisations strategic objectives.
- Work jointly, with business and other support function to implement change management strategies and plans that maximise employee adoption; usage and minimise resistance.
- Develop an HR policy and procedure framework and ensure that the organisation complies with all statutory requirements pertaining to labour.
- Establish efficient benchmarked HR processes and ensure high personnel data integrity and governance across all departments.
- Develop tools and systems to support data analytics, effective and efficient reporting and delivery of HR support to the organisation.
- Constantly improve processes and procedures to meet changing technical and customer requirements in a proactive manner and unlock bottlenecks.
- Harmonise all employee contracts and ensure compliance with the organisations policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
