Role purpose:


Provides strategic leadership spanning across a number of HR areas such as Business Partnering and HR Services to deliver Vodacom HR strategic objectives for the VSA Commercial areas (Commercial Operations, Consumer Business Unit, Vodacom Business, Fixed Services and Regional Operations).


Your responsibilities will include:

Leads a number of HR areas such as Business Partnering and HR services, through developing strategy within overall HR agenda
Responsible for service delivery across the areas of responsibility to quality, timing and cost targets.

Leads the work with the leadership team to establish a people agenda which underpins and supports the delivery of the business goals and drives people engagement.

Provide expert advice, interpretation and guidance on policies, practices and processes in order to effectively deliver and improve organisation, team and individual effectiveness within the HR areas
Ensures alignment of policy to best practice and benchmark against industry competitors.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
Tertiary qualification but preferably post graduate.

Extensive experience is required, about 15 years, as well as a good understanding of the industry and commercial awareness in order to support the various business lines with an end to end HR solution.

Knowledge of challenges and changes in the sector and how they relate to the company is also required.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience**:

Requires sound knowledge in all aspects of HR as well as in the following areas:
Telecommunications/Industry specific
Finance

The job requires a sound understanding of the underlying theories underpinning the disciplines in order to establish strategic plans and/or operational programmes for the discipline.

Very high level of communication skills.
