To support the Leadership Development & Learning team of the Absa Everyday Banking Cluster in driving development and successful end to-end execution of business leadership development and learning strategies; and to embed Absa's target leadership and learning experience in business.
Job Description:
Accountability:
Leadership and Learning Experience, Culture and Thought Leadership
- Support in the consultation, design and implementation of an uptodate business Workplace Skills Plan (WSP)
- Support the implementation of innovative leadership development and learning strategies that will enable the establishment of a diverse pool of talent geared to meet the evolving needs of the business Workplace Skills Plan.
- Facilitate the execution of the business performance consulting with relevant stakeholders in identifying leadership development and learning gaps and/or opportunities.
- Facilitate the consistent delivery of the differentiated leadership development and learning experiences defined by the Group Leadership and Learning policy, standards and target experiences.
- Compile the business leadership, learning and devlopment MI reporting, analysis and insights generation to facilitate datadriven talent planning and decision making.
Accountability:
Stakeholder Engagement
- Supporting the Senior Leadership and Learning Specialist, facilitate and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including academy curriculum providers, business leaders, talent leaders, People Leads and Partners, learning institutions, regulatory bodies, industry bodies and sector forums.
- Work with the Talent Acquisition specialist to recruit academies of learning talent for skills development, and accelerated development of talent.
Accountability:
Learning Operations, Agency and third party management
- Ensure that venues and costs are in accordance with the budget approved, policies and standards.
- Effectively use the external PSL leadership development and learning providers and contribute to the maintenance of a quality Preferred Suppliers List.
- Monitor the Agency and Third Party spend and utilization of the PSL on a monthly basis.
- Assist the Leadership and Learning Specialist in managing all relevant third party relationships and Service Level Agreements in line with regulatory requirements and Absa standards.
Accountability:
Leadership Development and Learning Curriculum
- Implementation of a business Workplace Skills Planaligned to the leadership, learning and development curriculum; facilitate the sourcing of programmes and interventions directly from Group offerings as appropriate.
- Implement all business leadership development and learning solutions in line with the Group Standards (including performance consulting, leadership and learning design, delivery, impact evaluation, and business learning academy operations).

Accountability:
Skills Development
- Support the implementation of a businessspecific skills development plan, forum, mandatory and strategic learnerships and internships to facilitate achievement of the business WSP and business objectives.
- Ensure that all skills levies are received and report compiled on their usage in line with strategic learning and development and employment equity objectives; and in support of overall business performance outcomes.
- Assist the Senior Leadership and Learning Specialist in ensuring that the business bursary and employee education assistance programmes are implemented in line with business Workplace Skills Plan priorities and the respective Group Framework, Process and Standards.
- Working with the ER, Wellbeing and Transformation Head, compile the reports and statistics for the business Skills Development BBBEE scorecard targets (where applicable).

Accelerated Development of Priority Business Succession Pipelines
- Assist in the management of the accelerated development of business succession talent and other priority business talent segments as individuals and as leadership cohorts, in collaboration with business talent acquisition and management teams
