Job Description:

  • As the Safety Leadership Practices, you will be:
  • Ensuring that the site implementation activities are integrated and consistent with group design standards
  • Coordination of logistics related to deployment of BU resources to site, including learning programs
  • Build trust and credibility in managing relationships with internal networks, external vendors, and contacts to achieve the effective delivery of the Safety Leadership Practices Live programme and for the broader safety transformation
  • Provision of support (including coaching resources) to operational working groups, line management and broader workforce for embedding and sustaining the safety leadership practices beyond project phases
  • Holding Site Change Leads to account on delivery of respective work stream schedules
  • Facilitating resolution of any issues between Site Change Leads and Line Owners
  • Facilitating effective transfer of work and management routines from support team to line owners as part of critical issue resolution/role holder training/site readiness testing

This role is at our corporate office in Rosebank in the SHEE and AS&R, at a Band 5 level reporting to the to the Manager Safety and Health Integration.

  • Qualifications
  • Undergraduate qualification in a relevant discipline such as Safety, Social Sciences, Human Resources, Clinical Psychology.
  • Post graduate qualification in a relevant discipline such as Safety, Social Sciences, Human Resources, Clinical Psychology.

Experience:

years mining operational experience with 5 years management experience

  • Experience in Leadership development programmes incl on the job training and coaching
  • Leadership tools for creating a culture of purposeled high performance and change
  • Project management experience and controls
  • Identification of key strategic risks and opportunities that could materially impact the operation and implementation of appropriate processes and systems to mitigate/leverage them.
  • Establishes and nurtures relationships with stakeholders
  • Experience in monitoring of benchmarks and identification of performance gap
  • Additional Information
  • Travel will be required to our operational sites on frequent basis
  • Driver License and own transport
