Role purpose:


Accountable for crafting and leading the execution of the VSA talent strategy, as well as driving a high-performance culture where Talent can flourish.

Partner with Client Groups and HR teams to ensure that each Business Unit has a local talent strategy that addresses their skills gaps.

Furthermore, the role will need to ensure that the talent strategy at each BU clearly defines "Build, Buy and Borrow "plans that will close the identified capability/skills gaps.

To drive high performance culture, the role will also need to oversee the smooth delivery of year-end review process for both performance and talent reviews-aligned to Vodafone principles and guidelines.

Ultimately the role needs to ensure that there is a clear return on investment and timelines for all talent initiatives being implemented.


Your responsibilities will include:

Partner with Client Groups and HRBPs to clearly define talent strategy for each BU-aligned to 14 digital skills
Develop and ensure clear capability gaps for all relevant skills identified
Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure the buy strategy is fully integrated into overall talent strategy
Develop talent mobility strategies that will enable flexibility of talent movement in the organisation
Develop talent mobility framework and governance
Work closely with Emerging Youth Talent to ensure that pipeline is aligned to organization's TechCo transformation
Partner with HRBPs to ensure that there is clear succession planning for all scarce and critical roles
Ensure significant ROI for all capability programmes within business area
Develop Specialists Career Paths
Develop performance management framework (minimum standards) - Drive high performance culture
Drive implementation of key initiatives and programs within the Talent space
Partner with Rewards to develop retention strategy / framework for talent

Must have technical/professional qualifications:

A degree/3-year diploma (e.g. Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Management, etc.) - essential
A post-graduate qualification will be advantageous
Demonstrated 8+ years' experience working in HR

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

Experience in talent and performance management
Knowledge of best talent management practices
High level of commercial acumen and business knowledge
Proven ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders
Strategic thinking and decision making
Project management skills
Exposure to Talent Assessment tools
Experience and exposure to Talent Forums at C-Suite
Experience and exposure to Talent exchange initiatives at C-Suite
Experience and exposure to Talent reporting tools and insights
