Human Resources Manager

A well established financial services firm would like to welcome to their team, a skilled Human Resources Manager.  The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company's human resources practices and processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Implementing and administering HR policies and programs
  • Managing recruitment and selection process
  • Employee onboarding
  • Payroll processing
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Arranging team events
  • Oversee and manage the performance appraisal process
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  • Ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations
  • Managing employee relations
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing grievances or other issues
  • Supporting team infrastructure, including certain key suppliers (eg. landlord, IT contracting)
  • Other tasks to support management in terms of optimisation of human resources

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of labour laws and regulations in South Africa
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with employees, management, and external partners
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and administering HR programs, policies, and procedures
  • Able to conduct organisational assessments, identify issues and opportunities for improvement, and develop action plans to address them
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior human resources management role
