Human Resources Manager Job Description

Empire Recruitment is seeking a skilled Human Resources Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company's human resources practices and processes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement HR Strategies: Design and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy, ensuring a positive impact on employee engagement and productivity.
  • HR Policy and Program Administration: Implement and administer HR policies and programs, ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations in South Africa.
  • Recruitment and Selection: Manage the recruitment and selection process, identifying and attracting top talent to support the company's growth and success.
  • Employee Onboarding: Develop and implement an effective employee onboarding process, ensuring new hires are equipped to succeed in their roles.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Manage payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Employee Relations and Engagement: Foster a positive working environment, promoting employee engagement, motivation, and retention through effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Performance Management: Oversee and manage the performance appraisal process, ensuring employees receive regular feedback and coaching to support their growth and development.
  • Training and Development: Assess training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, ensuring the company remains competitive in the market.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations, identifying and mitigating potential risks to the company.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Labour Laws and Regulations: Excellent knowledge of labour laws and regulations in South Africa, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
  • HR Systems and Databases: Knowledge of HR systems and databases, with the ability to effectively manage and maintain these systems.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees, management, and external partners.
  • HR Experience: Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and administering HR programs, policies, and procedures, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior human resources management role.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
