Young, growing manufacturing company based in Rosslyn, Pretoria. The company has been in operation for 5 years and has plans for expansion. The company specialises in CNC machining, jig manufacturing and metal works. Industries served include automotive, aviation, medical and other private entities.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of all support services
- Oversee overall planning, systems, and controls
- Assist with budget where necessary
- Supervise and coach team leaders
- Overseeing the production/project process
- Ensuring that the production is cost effective
- Making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality
- Drawing up or delegating the task for a production/project schedule or timing plan
- Coaching the team leaders, supervisors, and all other employees towards a common goal in line with our vison and mission statements and emphasising a healthy work culture
- Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed
- Being responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment
- Monitoring product standards and implementing quality-control programmes
- Ensuring that health and safety is prioritized
- Reviewing worker performance
- Identifying training needs
- Technical purchasing including sourcing and obtaining quotations for items required to achieve the project goals, items which require maintenance and repair and items which require the expansion of the company where capital investment may be required
- Liaising with the customer with regards to a project that has kicked off. This involves managing and communicating timing plans, designs, queries about scope, delays and deliveries
- Assisting with the training and development of all employees in departments managed by you
- In charge of all technical and production related departments: CNC, CAD, Toolroom, Press shop and Metal works

**Education**:

- Matric - Essential
- Tertiary Qualification in Artisanal trade (tool making or machining), CNC manufacturing, CAD design and draughting
- Computer Literate in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook, Projects ) - Essential

**Experience**:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in overseeing a team
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management (Turn-key)
- Experience in Automotive/engineering Environment
