Fleet Manager

**Job Overview**
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Fleet Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, and management of our vehicle fleet in Rosslyn. This pivotal role involves ensuring the efficient deployment of vehicles, maintaining compliance with safety standards, and optimizing fleet performance to support our operational goals. As a Fleet Manager, you will lead a team responsible for vehicle scheduling, maintenance coordination, and record-keeping, all while fostering a proactive safety culture. **Duties**
- Coordinate daily fleet operations to ensure timely deployment and return of vehicles across various locations in Rosslyn
- Manage vehicle maintenance schedules, including routine inspections, repairs, and servicing to maximize fleet longevity and safety
- Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle usage, and operational costs to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Oversee vehicle documentation, including registration, insurance, licensing, and compliance with local transportation regulations
- Lead a team of drivers and support staff by providing training, guidance, and performance feedback
- Implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits to promote a secure working environment for all fleet personnel
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, maintenance history, incident reports, and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with procurement teams to manage vehicle acquisitions, disposals, and leasing arrangements as needed
- Utilize fleet management software to track vehicle locations, schedules, and operational metrics for data-driven decision-making

**Experience**
- Relevant Degree or three-year diploma - Fleet or Transport Management (required)
- At least 5 years’ experience in trucks and vehicle assessment/management essential
- Possess a valid Driver’s License
- Computer Literate (MS Office, advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Internet)
- Proven experience in fleet management or transportation operations with a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety standards
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record-keeping and compliance documentation
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges swiftly and efficiently
- Knowledge of local transportation regulations and licensing requirements in Rosslyn or similar urban environments
- Familiarity with fleet management software or telematics systems is preferred
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, vendors, and regulatory agencies
