Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated External Sales Representative to enhance our Sales Team in Cape Town.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 (Matric/NQF Level 4)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities
  • Strong technical knowledge
  • Proficient in computer applications
  • Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets
  • A minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the Hydraulics Industry

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture business relationships with current and potential clients in the designated territory to drive new business opportunities.
  • Conduct phone calls and in-person visits to engage with existing and prospective clients.
  • Utilize a relationship-focused approach to promote and secure orders from clients.
  • Showcase products to clients, assisting them in selecting options that best meet their needs.
  • Coordinate and follow up on sales inquiries with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Management, and Workshop.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints efficiently.
  • Develop a structured call schedule to cover the territory and provide daily reports on outcomes.
  • Deliver oral and written reports to management regarding customer needs, challenges, interests, competitive landscape, and opportunities for new products and services.
  • Stay informed about new products, technologies, market trends, and evolving customer needs.
  • Conduct customer analysis, market assessments, pricing strategies, and competitor evaluations to enhance the company's market position.
  • Participate in industry trade shows and conventions.
  • Handle inquiries and prepare detailed quotes for customers.
  • Present pricing, discounts, credit terms, and other company-specific details.
  • Provide accurate information regarding product availability.
  • Facilitate order processing by preparing Sales Orders.
  • Enhance sales and average order size through cross-selling, up-selling, and promotional offerings.
  • Educate clients on product terminology, features, and benefits to boost sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on new products and customer preferences through internal meetings and training sessions.
  • Provide regular reports and planned visit schedules.

Compensation: This permanent position offers a competitive monthly salary, a company vehicle, and contributions towards medical aid and pension fund.
