Strategic Business Development Manager

IOCO is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Business Development Manager to join our team in Sandton. This exciting opportunity involves providing sales services to clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners in line with the company's strategic objectives.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for formulating business strategies for sales, managing existing client relationships, and exploring new business development initiatives. Key tasks include:
- Ensuring effective sales department operations, targeting both existing and new clients;
- Providing accurate and timely forecasts (pipelines) to inform business decisions;
- Managing time allocation to achieve budget targets and prioritize client relationships;
- Buidling and maintaining key customer relationships through regular engagement and communication;
- Concluding partnership agreements and outstanding service level agreements with clients;
- Establishing strategic client meetings to drive business growth;
- Budgeting to achieve additional revenues from existing client bases;
- Facilitating regular client meetings to convert opportunities into additional business;
- Collaborating with internal divisions to understand client requirements and develop effective collections strategies;
- Preparing business proposals for executive approval and implementing sustainable short, medium, and long-term business development plans;
- Analysing trends to predict usage and revenue patterns for future months;
- Evaluating and implementing corrective actions as needed.
This role requires a proven track record of sales success, preferably in the bureau, financial services, software sales, or credit industry sectors. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in sales management roles;
- Strong expertise in business development, strategic planning, and relationship management;
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages;
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Business, or a related field;
- A strong understanding of the local business landscape and market trends.
