Sales Manager Job Description

Emporium is seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of sales representatives to achieve regional and divisional targets.
  • Implement sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth.
  • Establish a sales environment that fosters future growth and development.
  • Direct sales activities within the region, including resource deployment and customer interactions.
  • Develop and adhere to a business plan to achieve sales targets.
  • Effectively manage resources, including budget, stock, time, and sales tools.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key opinion leaders and customers.
  • Provide efficient and constructive customer problem-solving.
  • Responsible for regional forecasting and sales tracking.
  • Analyze and report sales data.
  • Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information to identify trends affecting sales and profitability.
  • Disseminate information to sales representatives, corporate marketing, and sales operations.
  • Coach and develop a professional sales team.
  • Provide quality leadership, including facilitating creative improvements and inspiring others.
  • Sell and teach others how to sell value and solutions to customers.
  • Lead sales territory representatives, managing performance, coaching, mentoring, hiring, and career development in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Measure team competence against job needs analysis.
  • Develop team members with optimal knowledge and skills using the talent management process.
  • Manage individual development using the performance management process.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification (medical-related qualification will be an advantage).
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and data analysis.
  • Previous sales management and hospital/specialist experience will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a medical sales representative in specialist and GP markets.
  • Valid driver's license.
