Main Responsibilities
  • The Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day management of sales and the sales team, aligning with overall company policy.
  • The primary focus is to enhance commercial performance by increasing turnover and maximizing profitability.
  • Key performance objectives will require action in customer care, regional marketing, sales, and administration.
  • Major responsibilities include managing staff, identifying sales improvement opportunities, and meeting customer service expectations.
  • Weekly meetings with the sales team are conducted, with minutes distributed to senior management.
Key Functions
  • Leading and motivating the sales team to boost sales and efficiency.
  • Ensuring each sales person has a target tied to the Group's overall sales target.
  • Analyzing sales figures and forecasting future sales to maximize profits.
  • Interpreting local and regional trends to inform planning.
  • Utilizing information technology for data analysis and forward planning.
  • Addressing sales staffing issues, including appraisals, performance reviews, and training.
  • Maintaining quality, customer service, health, and safety standards.
  • Responding to customer complaints and comments.
  • Organizing special promotions, displays, and events.
  • Facilitating regular staff meetings.
  • Updating colleagues on business performance and new initiatives.
  • Touring the sales floor, engaging with colleagues and customers, and resolving issues.
  • Maintaining awareness of market trends, competitor activity, and forthcoming customer initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager or similar sales leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of the computer hardware industry and market dynamics.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and drive team performance.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
