SA Metal Group, South Africa's oldest and largest metal recycling company, is looking for a skilled Payroll Administrator to join their team.

Job Summary

This temporary position requires an efficient individual with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have 5-6 years of experience processing payroll for a large organization and be proficient in Time & Attendance software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately process the SA Metal payroll, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Process timesheets, calculate overtime and leave payments, and maintain payroll records in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with Human Capital on wage and HR concerns, and provide proactive support for payroll processing.
Requirements:
  • Matric or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience with Accsys PeopleWare is advantageous.
  • Excellent computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to create spreadsheets, communicate via email, and present data in tabulated form.
Qualifying Attributes:
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:

This role offers a competitive salary package, depending on qualifications and experience. Standard working hours are Monday to Thursday from 08:00 to 17:00 and Friday from 08:00 to 16:00. Overtime may be required as per operational needs.
