At Qatar Duty Free, we're on a journey to revolutionize the way we interact with our customers. We're now seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead our sales teams in Johannesburg.

This role offers a unique opportunity to drive revenue growth, optimize sales strategies, and develop high-performing teams. As a key member of our leadership team, you'll be responsible for defining the optimal way to increase sales through commercial actions and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement sales plans to maximize revenue and presence in the market for key accounts.
  2. Structure and optimize distribution channels to drive profitable revenue and reduce costs.
  3. Formulate and execute B2B strategies with sales teams to maximize revenue from existing accounts and drive new business opportunities.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop local sales incentives strategies and negotiate agreements with key partners.
  5. Accountable for delivering targets and KPIs for sales teams, managing expenditure budgets, and ensuring maximum return on investment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years of job-related experience.
  • Extensive commercial experience in the travel industry.
  • Good level of knowledge about the geographical nature and travel market of Johannesburg, South Africa.
