Reservations Sales Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Reservations Sales Manager to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for soliciting and managing reservations sales-related opportunities. Your primary goal will be to maximize revenue growth and achieve personal and team-related revenue goals.
Candidate Profile
To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent, or a 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field. You should also have 2 years of experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or a related professional area.
Key Responsibilities
As a Reservations Sales Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Identifying new reservations sales business opportunities to achieve personal and property revenue goals.
- Understanding the overall market, including competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, and knowing how to sell against them.
- Closing the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions and property needs.
- Monitoring same-day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and control property occupancy.
- Gaining an understanding of the property's primary target customer and service expectations, and serving the customer by understanding their business, business issues, and concerns, to offer better business solutions.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You should also be able to utilize sales resources and administrative/support staff effectively, and have a strong understanding of the property's brand standards and customer service expectations.
