Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Avaya Support Engineer to join our team at Dimension Data. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support for Avaya telephony systems and ensuring seamless operation of our clients' IT infrastructure.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a deep understanding of Avaya technology and excellent problem-solving skills. As a Senior Avaya Support Engineer, you will be expected to work independently to resolve complex technical issues, provide timely updates to clients, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert-level support for Avaya telephony systems, including design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues to identify root causes and implement resolutions.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve any technical issues that may arise.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Avaya technology, including product features, functionality, and best practices.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6-8 years' experience in Avaya telephony administration as a Senior Support Engineer in a medium to large ICT organization.
  • Extensive experience working with Avaya products, including AACC, AAEP, POM, AES, SMGR, ASM, and ACR.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical documentation and experience coordinating with TAC (Technical Assistance Center).
  • Expert-level knowledge of management concepts, solution concepts, and contract center architecture within the supported technical domain (network, virtualization, security, etc.).
  • ITIL v3/4 Foundation certification and relevant Avaya certifications (ACE, APSS, APDS, AIPS, ASPS, ACIS, ACSS).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
