Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with Spar store owners, managers, and decision-makers, as well as our existing retail channels. Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Spar store owners, managers, and decision-makers, as well as our existing retail channels.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction through regular calling, communication, and support.
  • Sales Growth:
    • Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives within the Gauteng region and Free State.
    • Identify and action new opportunities to grow sales within existing and new Spar accounts.
    • Identify opportunities for wholesale customers.
    • Identify and action new opportunities in the current customer base of Shoprite, Checkers, and Food Lovers Market.
  • Market Insights & Strategy:
    • Monitor and analyse sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity to execute the company's sales strategy.
    • Provide insights to inform sales strategies and promotional activities.
  • Sales and Merchandising Agents:
    • Oversee the current sales agent's activities in retail stores.
    • Ensure the correct placement of products and compliance with merchandising standards.
  • Reporting:
    • Provide weekly sales progress and activity reports to the Managing Director.
    • Track and report on KPIs, including sales growth and customer engagement metrics.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience in FMCG sales, with significant experience in the Spar Channel.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the retail and FMCG landscape in Gauteng.
  • Must be based in Johannesburg and able to travel extensively across Gauteng.

Estimated Salary: R600,000 - R800,000 per annum.
