McCormick & Company, a leading global flavour manufacturer, is seeking a Strategic Account Growth Specialist to join our team in Cape Town, South Africa.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to drive business growth through strategic account management. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers across Africa, identifying new opportunities, and delivering innovative solutions to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business plans to achieve revenue growth targets, working closely with internal stakeholders and customers to identify new opportunities and optimize existing relationships.
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels, from procurement to senior management, ensuring excellent communication and service delivery.
  • Prioritize and manage a portfolio of critical accounts, focusing on high-growth opportunities and driving results-oriented solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Analyse market trends, customer feedback, and sales data to inform strategic decisions and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales Operations, Marketing, and Technical Services, to develop and implement targeted campaigns and initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress against goals, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Food Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in B2B sales, preferably in the FMCG industry, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM software, with experience in integrated business planning (IBP) preferred.
  • Valid driver's licence, with willingness to travel for customer meetings and business development activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.

Estimated Salary Range

R1,200,000 - R1,800,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
