Remuneration Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Remuneration Specialist to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by designing and implementing innovative remuneration strategies aligned with our client's organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
Our ideal candidate will research trends in remuneration and identify creative and innovative remuneration structures specific to the laboratory services industry.
- They will provide ongoing intelligence on market movements and potential threats from competitive poaching, recommending solutions to mitigate risks.
- They will offer advice on compensation policy interpretation, new hire offers, promotions, market analysis, and job evaluation within the context of laboratory services.
- Our Remuneration Specialist will provide analysis and advice during the annual increase and bonus processes tailored to the needs of the laboratory services sector.
- They will develop and maintain the Job Grading Committees Terms of Reference, facilitating job evaluation processes, and managing grading requests database within the laboratory services industry.
- The job evaluation process will be led to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness within the laboratory services sector.
- Our Remuneration Specialist will contribute to the development of remuneration and rewards strategies specific to the laboratory services industry and facilitate management training on rewards and remuneration.
- They will design, develop, and implement innovative incentive schemes aligned with business objectives in the laboratory services field.
- Our specialist will define fair, equitable, and competitive total remuneration packages aligned with our client's laboratory services strategy and goals.
- They will ensure remuneration practices comply with relevant regulatory requirements and standards in the laboratory services industry.
- Participation in salary and labour market surveys specific to the laboratory services sector is required to determine prevailing remuneration rates and benefits.
- Our Remuneration Specialist will assist with relevant Organizational Development projects and initiatives within the laboratory services industry as needed.
Minimum Requirements & Key Competencies:
A Bachelor's degree in related Human Resource or finance/payroll (NQF 7) is required.
- Registration with South African Rewards Association (SARA) is desirable.
- In-depth experience in HRMIS (Oracle advantageous) is necessary.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in Remuneration and Rewards, preferably within the laboratory services industry, is required.
- Knowledge of remuneration benchmarking, rewards policies, market surveys, incentives, benefits, and legislative regulations specific to laboratory services is essential.
- Strong computer literacy and analytical skills are required.
- Excellent coordination, planning, and implementation abilities are necessary.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills are required.
- Numerical proficiency and attention to detail are essential.
