Job Title: Payroll Administrator

Kencorp Executive Search is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our HR department to ensure accurate payroll processing and loading onto the payroll system.
  • Process team members' and managers' payrolls within deadlines, ensuring supporting documentation and approval are in place.
  • Verify and process new employee onboarding, completed by our HR team.
  • Modify existing employee information, such as banking details and employee movements.
  • Check and process one-off changes, including pay-rate increases.
  • Prepare monthly payroll reports according to the checklist for submission and review to the payroll supervisor.
  • Complete UIF forms, such as UI-19, Certificate of Service, and Salary Schedule, as required after payroll finalization.
  • Maintain payroll information through efficient record keeping and filing.
  • Resolve queries and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Support management in finalizing account reconciliations for monthly submission.
  • Assist management with generating payroll reports or providing payroll information as needed.
  • Assist with payroll-related tax and financial year-end procedures.
  • Provide general administrative support and perform ad-hoc duties related to payroll administration.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 or NQF 4 Certificate.
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role.
  • Working knowledge of SBCPP payroll software is advantageous.
  • Payroll Certificate and/or accounting exposure is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel).
  • Accurate data entry skills with attention to detail and dedication to quality.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Ability to maintain data integrity and strong reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage all aspects of payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
  • Good teamwork skills and ability to work independently when required.
  • Ability to tackle challenges from different perspectives to problem-solve.
  • Sound understanding of human resources and labor rules and regulations.
