Job Overview

Iie Varsity College seeks a highly motivated Field Marketing Manager to drive the growth of our brand in Pretoria, North West, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute marketing initiatives that align with the company's global and national strategies.
  • Consumer Understanding: Ensure in-depth knowledge of local consumer behavior and preferences.
  • Brand Promotion: Create and implement programs that enhance brand image and product understanding.
  • Business Plan Delivery: Successfully deliver the annual business plan for the region.
  • Event Management: Organize key events, scenes, and marketing opportunities that resonate with local audiences.
  • Influencer Relations: Build strong relationships with local influencers and opinion leaders.
  • Team Leadership: Source, hire, train, and manage a team of FMSs who embody the brand spirit.
  • Objectives and Goals: Set regional objectives and clear goals to ensure accountability.
  • Talent Development: Identify and nurture key talent for future opportunities.
  • Logistics and Budget: Implement and manage a clean logistical system and develop the regional budget.
  • Partnerships: Establish smart and mutually beneficial partnerships with agencies and specialized companies.
Requirements:
  • Marketing Experience: 5 years of experience in marketing, preferably in sports/events or culture marketing.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum 3 years of line management experience, including hiring, training, administration, and motivating teams.
  • Negotiation and Budgeting: Proven background in negotiation and management of budgets.
  • Communication and Networking: Excellent communication and networking skills, with the ability to excite people for an idea.
  • Leadership and Project Management: Strong leadership, planning, and project management skills.
  • Youth Culture Understanding: Strong understanding of youth culture in sports and culture in the region.
  • Creativity and Innovation: A creative marketer with depth in brand understanding, innovation at the heart who puts new ideas into practice fast.
  • Multitasking and Teamwork: Ability to multitask and work in cross-functional teams with different objectives and personalities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, orally and in writing, including presenting and training abilities.
  • Travel: Valid Drivers License and willingness to travel 70-80%.
