Job Summary:
We are currently on a search for a Senior Specialist – Human Resources to join the largest manufacturer and distributor of major appliances company in Southern Africa, to be based in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, with experience in a senior HR role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
  1. Expert advice and guidance on various HR matters to the HR team and line managers.
  2. Development and implementation of HR policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  3. Management of employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  4. Investigations into employee complaints and making recommendations for resolution.
  5. Management and oversight of the recruitment and selection process.
  6. Guidance and support to line managers on employee development and career progression.
  7. Maintenance of accurate HR records and documentation of HR processes.
  8. Partnership with managers to support business deliverables.
  9. Support of managers with staffing.
  10. Support to the HR Manager in delivering HR projects and initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
  • SAP experience advantageous.
  • Experience in a Union-based environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior HR role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of BCEA, LRA, EE.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and HR software.
