Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to customer inquiries, offer product recommendations, and provide samples to enhance the shopping experience
  • Assist customers in locating, selecting, and purchasing products while ensuring a high level of satisfaction
  • Weigh, label, package, and prepare products for billing and delivery while maintaining accurate records
  • Organize and stock displays and showcases to create an attractive store environment
  • Maintain clean work areas and equipment, adhering to company policies and standards
  • Collaborate with colleagues to uphold food safety and hygiene procedures, promoting a safe working environment
  • Provide prompt and courteous service, consistently exceeding customer expectations
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; relevant work experience is a plus
  • A clear criminal record is essential, as this role involves working with food and interacting with customers
  • Deli counter or food preparation experience is highly valued, demonstrating proficiency in handling food and operating equipment
  • The ability to lift heavy items and operate machinery such as meat slicers, scales, and cash registers is crucial
  • Excellent communication, math skills, and customer service abilities are necessary for success in this role
  • Comprehension of company procedures and regulations regarding food handling and sanitation is vital
  • A friendly and efficient approach to handling customer requests, questions, and complaints is essential
Compensation and Benefits:
