This is an exciting opportunity to join 6489 Sandvik SRP RSA (PTY) LTD as a Senior Crushing Solutions Business Director, Africa Region.

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to drive the growth of our crushing solutions business in Africa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting the direction of our crushing solutions business in Africa and developing objectives based on our overall strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a territory-specific action plan to grow the business through the sales of crushing solutions capital equipment.
  • Manage the capital equipment crushing solutions sales team and the sales process, with direct responsibility for sales in the Southern Africa territory.
  • Counsel and manage the crushing solutions sales team, promoting cross-collaboration and knowledge sharing between the crushing solutions and screening solutions sales teams.
  • Work closely with the BLM Screening Solutions and Territory Managers to set actions plans to execute on key focus areas, achieving sales and revenue growth in each territory and driving bundled offerings to maximize winning opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Lifecycle Manager to ensure alignment and focus on driving the growth of the installed base of crushers and providing lifecycle support linked to our strategy.
  • Manage EPC & Key Customer Accounts in collaboration with the EPC & Customer Accounts Manager and the BLM Screening Solutions.
  • Develop sales strategies and action plans targeted at core focus areas/segments, ensuring capital equipment sales are done with an aftermarket growth focus and bundling.
  • Set and drive the plan for Division Mobiles crushing solutions sales in Africa.
  • Exercise EHS responsibility for the crushing solutions team, developing EHS activities and actions associated with our annual commitment.
Requirements
  • Possess a professional qualification at the level of Mechanical Engineer or Metallurgical Engineer or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate solid knowledge and experience of Sandvik Crushing & Screening equipment.
  • Show +10 years related industry experience with an OEM in the mining & infrastructure industry.
  • Display solid understanding and experience in budgeting and forecasting processes and preparing strategic plans and action plans.
  • Be fluent in English, willing to travel into other African countries, and possess a valid passport.
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of vibrating and/or crushing equipment, mining site plants, and process engineering.
  • Exhibit sound judgment and problem-solving ability, listening skills, logic interpretation, strong customer orientation, advanced communication skills, demonstrated leadership & mentoring skills, flexibility, self-reliance, and self-starting attitude.
  • Show excellent time management, commercial reasoning, contract management, and compliance with Health and Safety in the workplace.
  • Display the ability to make sound decisions, execute plans, and take initiative, with computer literacy and MS Office proficiency.
Location

The position is based in Spartan, Kempton Park, South Africa.

The estimated salary for this role is R1,200,000 per annum, considering the job requirements, location, and industry standards.
