Job Title: Retail Operations Manager

A dynamic and ambitious Operations Business Manager is sought by Armstrong Appointments to oversee multiple retail sites across the nation. As a seasoned professional with a tertiary qualification and 5-7 years of experience in a Regional or Area Operations Manager role, you will drive business growth and expansion by fostering strong relationships with franchisees and implementing profit-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and secure profitable contracts with suppliers and partners.
  • Lead and manage multiple regions and sites to ensure seamless operations and high-performing businesses.
  • Develop and implement turn-around strategies to improve existing processes and achieve optimal GP margins.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with franchisees to drive sales and profitability.
  • Oversee the launch and opening of new retail outlets, including site selection and store layout planning.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, legislative requirements, and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Lead and facilitate regional meetings and forums to drive product innovation and sales-focused strategies.
  • Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to drive sales and brand awareness.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Position-related tertiary qualification required.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a Regional or Area Operations Manager role.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Franchisee or Fuel/Retail Operations.
  • Valid drivers' license and ability to travel between sites and regions.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite.
  • Point of Sales, Arch, Winbranch, AURA, and GAAP experience an advantage.
