Job Description

A proactive, forward-thinker who understands the value of influencing high-level decisions and driving sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Management of the HR team including HR Generalist, IR Lead, Training and Development Manager
  • Lead the social committee and work within the annual budget to create a fun, open and transparent company culture
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and programs
  • Support the performance management process by coordinating performance appraisals, goal setting, and feedback sessions
  • Work closely with the Training and Development manager to implement Learnerships in the retail space and leverage off the WRSETA
  • Employee compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews, incentives, and employee benefits enrolment
  • Prepare HR reports and analytics on key HR metrics, such as employee turnover, recruitment, training, and performance
  • Ensure that any disputes between the employees and the employer are dealt with swiftly in conjunction with the IR Lead
  • Ensure compliance with the EE Act
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in business administration, Human Resources Management, Organizational Behaviour or Development, Organizational Psychology, or similar field
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role
  • Good knowledge of labour legislation LRA, BCEA (specifically employment contracts, employee leave and Unions)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
Estimated Salary Range: R600,000 - R800,000 per annum
