OPPORTUNITY DETAILS
The IIE Varsity College Pretoria campus is looking for qualified individuals in the domain of Political Studies to enhance the academic and research functions within the Faculty of Management Studies.
ROLE OBJECTIVE
The main objective of this role is to provide high-quality facilitation and lecturing across various qualifications, alongside engaging in all related academic activities aimed at fostering student success and learning outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitation and Lecturing
- Assessment and Marking
- Student Engagement and Support
Required Competencies:
- Strong Communication Skills
- Excellent Organizational Skills
- Effective Time Management
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a degree in the following areas:
- A Bachelor of Arts Honours or Bachelor of Social Science Honours in Political Studies.
Alternatively:
A Postgraduate Diploma, Master's (MA/MPhil), or Doctorate (PhD/DPhil) in Political Studies.
- A master's degree in any Applied Humanities or Commerce field with a focus on Strategic Innovation, Business Innovation, Innovation Management, Sustainable Business Innovation, Corporate Social Responsibility, Development Economics, Applied Development Economics, Community Development, Grassroots Innovation, Sociology, Social Development, Social Entrepreneurship, or Social Innovation at the undergraduate level.
Or:
A relevant NQF 8 qualification in Applied Humanities or Commerce with similar innovation or development economics modules completed at the undergraduate level.
Minimum Experience Requirements:
It is preferable for candidates to have the following additional competencies:
- Practical experience in Political Studies
- Previous lecturing experience
Working Conditions:
- This role is classified as an Independent Contractor position.
