Position Overview

The IIE Varsity College, Pretoria campus, is looking for qualified individuals in the field of Political Sciences/International Relations to enhance our teaching and research capabilities within the Faculty of Management Studies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate learning
  • Assess and grade student work
  • Provide academic support and guidance to students

Essential Competencies

  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Effective time management

Educational Qualifications

  • A Master's or Honours Degree in Political Sciences or International Relations.

Alternatively:

  • A Master's or Honours degree in a related field such as Public Administration or a Social Science discipline with a foundation in Political Science.
  • A Bachelor of Arts Honours or Bachelor of Social Science Honours in Political Studies.

Or:

  • A Postgraduate Diploma, Master's (MA/MPhil), or Doctorate (PhD/DPhil) in Political Studies.
  • A master's degree in an Applied Humanities or Commerce field with relevant studies in Strategic Innovation, Business Innovation, or related areas.

Or:

  • A relevant NQF 8 qualification in Applied Humanities or Commerce with similar modules in innovation or development economics.

Work Experience Requirements

  • Experience in the field of Political Sciences/International Relations
  • Prior lecturing experience

Working Conditions

  • This position is categorized as an Independent Contractor role.
