Job Overview

Salesworx, the leading supplier of perspex/polymers in South Africa, seeks an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of payroll processes and be able to administer various systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer the Astrow Clock Card System to ensure accurate tracking of employee hours and attendance.
  • Manage overtime and shift changes within the Astrow System.
  • Maintain the integrity of employee master data, including photos and contact information.
  • Configure the Astrow System to link with VIP Payroll for seamless data transfer.
  • Upload employee hours into VIP Payroll from the Astrow System.
  • Perform weekly reviews of employee hours, resolving any discrepancies or queries.
  • Act as a Super User/Administrator for VIP Payroll, responsible for setting up new employee records and processing leave.
  • Process payroll values, capture additional payments, and generate reports at month-end.
  • Manage salaries and third-party payments through FIHRST.
  • Reconcile medical aid, GAP, and other benefits from supplier statements to payroll reports.
Requirements
  • 6-10 years of experience in payroll administration.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform calculations, reconciliations, and resolve queries.
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Emotional Intelligence and a strong work ethic.
