As a Senior Business Development Manager at Boardroom Appointments, you will be responsible for leading a team of Product Managers and Account Managers in joint calling with the sales team. Your portfolio will consist of Coatings and Construction, and you will be expected to manage a portfolio of customers. You will ensure a healthy working platform in line with division and company objectives, and materialize the working platform. You will also set a clear sales strategy for local and abroad markets, and actively look for opportunities outside the current portfolio for possible acquisitions. Additionally, you will meet tight deadlines across the business, direct and assertively push the sales team to promote new products and look at new markets, and have a healthy and active relationship at key accounts. You will also ensure the sales team is working with the CRM system, and manage working capital, debtors days, and stock holding targets. You will forecast every month, report back on monthly sales vs the previous year vs budget with comments, and continuously search for opportunities within the market. You will also ensure market data is relevant and updated, and strategically grow the portfolio of customers. You will strategize the business outlook for 3 to 5 years and ensure the materialization of objectives, grow the customer base year on year in terms of volume, revenue, and margins, and assist the sales team with technical briefs and new product development. You will also negotiate prices at senior levels, promote company products and image, and have industry/market knowledge within all current industries responsible for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Product Managers and Account Managers in joint calling with the sales team.
