Job Title: Business Development Manager

Main Responsibilities:

  • Play a senior role in an established sales team as a Business Development Manager responsible for bringing in large and medium-scale opportunities and clients on board.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with clients in need of freight forwarding services.
  • Meet and exceed set targets as agreed contractually.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend and complete designated DSV training for this role.
  • Sell Ocean Freight, Airfreight, Road Freight, and Courier Products.
  • Identify Ideal Client Profiles in line with DSV's service offering.
  • Engage with top management for new opportunities and build relationships with key business partners.
  • Acquire new opportunities for DSV targeting medium to large-scale companies.
  • Collaborate with DSV Product Leads, Vertical Leads, and Operational Leads to ensure service quality.
  • Negotiate and sign off new opportunities with relevant Executive Sponsor.
  • Ensure all rates submitted for business opportunities are profit-making.
  • Understand and position DSV's business value propositions.
  • Perform consultative selling, understanding clients' requirements, and advising given market conditions.
  • Analyze, qualify, and capture value for DSV.
  • Manage CRM Tool and fulfill reporting requirements.
  • Work under pressure in a corporate environment.
  • Meet required call ratio with quality engagements documented in the CRM system.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years stable client-facing experience with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Own reliable vehicle and valid endorsed driver's license.
  • Ability to work overtime and travel locally and internationally.
