Revenue Cycle Management Director

Deka Minas (Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Revenue Cycle Management Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the revenue cycle department and ensuring that all business-related processes are smoothly implemented in line with our mission, vision, and values.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare safety, operations, and programs, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will be responsible for directing and coordinating all scheduling, admission, discharge, and corresponding financial services and activities of patients within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the revenue cycle department and ensure that all business-related processes are smoothly implemented.
- Direct and coordinate all scheduling, admission, discharge, and corresponding financial services and activities of patients.
- Ensure that all revenue cycle department activities are of the highest quality and performed in an efficient manner.
- Provide direction and guidance to revenue cycle department staff.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating data base related to insurance policy (new and old subscribers).
- Ensure staff treats patients and their families with respect and dignity.
- Interact professionally with patient/family and provide explanations and verbal reassurance as necessary.
- Ensure department documentation meets current standards and policies.
- Ensure availability of all department resources.
- Directly responsible for all personnel actions including, but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, vacation schedules, and maintaining payroll records and time reports.
- Enforce regulatory and compliance requirements (MOH, accreditation, etc). Accountable for understanding, enforcing, and following all internal controls, particularly as they relate to cash management policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the safety of patient valuables.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Master Degree in Business Administration or equivalent field or in Medical Field.
- At least 2-5 years progressive experience as Revenue Cycle Management Manager in healthcare setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of healthcare safety, operations, and programs.
- Skilled in working with spreadsheets, databases, and power point presentations.
- Medical terminology knowledge / Medical Background.
- Ability to organise and prioritise.
- Strong customer service background and experience.
- Ability create and apply specific departmental policies, rules and regulations relating to verifying patient information, collecting payments, and maintaining records and forms.
- Knowledge and ability to apply situational leadership skills.
- Ability to effectively lead teams and establish and maintain effective relationships with other personnel.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles.
