The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in procurement and logistics, with a proven track record of developing and implementing strategies that drive cost savings and efficiency.

Our client, a leading organization in the renewable energy sector, is seeking an experienced Procurement and Logistics Manager to join their team. As a key member of the supply chain function, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of procurement and logistics strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services at optimal costs.
  • Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory management processes to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Logistics Operations: Ensure smooth logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including ISO 14000 standards.

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will also:

  • Negotiate Contracts: Negotiate contracts with vendors to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Monitor Supplier Performance: Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and timeliness of deliveries.
  • Manage Budgets: Collaborate with internal teams to forecast needs and manage budgets effectively.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A diploma with extensive experience will be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Procurement and Logistics Manager, preferably in the renewable energy or related sector.
  • Qualifications: Completed or in-progress CIPS qualification is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Regulations: Familiarity with ISO 14000 standards is required.
  • Proficiency in Systems: Proficiency in procurement systems and tools.
  • Communication Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills are essential.
  • Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle.
