Job Description

Status Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior Supply Chain Manager to join our team in a challenging role that requires strategic thinking, leadership skills, and attention to detail.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled professional who can oversee the entire supply chain process, from procurement to delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, logistics, and supply chain management, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.

Responsibilities
  • Purchasing/Supply Management:
    • Manage the purchasing processes by integrating and optimizing all the steps required to ensure production raw material requirements are met
    • Maintain Supplier relationships and ensure professional customer service
    • Oversee and direct staff to ensure timely arrival of raw materials and adherence to Supplier Food Safety and Quality Assurance requirements
  • Production Scheduling:
    • Manage the process of receiving OWS and 3rd Party Bottling orders/instructions from clients ensuring all documentation requirements are in place
    • Ensure a OWS and 3rd Party production plan is in place, according to orders received, maximizing production efficiencies and ensuring production can meet delivery requirements
  • People Management:
    • Ensure effective communication between all personnel parties, supervising work of employees, including providing guidance in handling difficult problems and in resolving escalated complaints or disputes
    • Manage staff performance and identifies training needs
  • Analysis & Reporting:
    • Monitor, investigate and report on Rework, Deviation, CAR and Customer Complaints
    • Takes minutes at production meetings and keeps records thereof
    • Prepares and distributes action logs timeously
Requirements
  • Matric / Grade 12, as well as a relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement in a FMCG environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel & SAGE
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in similar role and environment
  • Fluent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Good understanding of Supply Chain processes
  • Ability to work accurately, meticulously with high attention to detail
  • Ability to be patient, tactful, diplomatic and approachable
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is R850,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including medical aid, pension fund, and annual leave.
