Business Development and Sales Expert

MECS Africa seeks a highly skilled Business Development and Sales Expert to drive sales growth and revenue expansion in Sub-Sahara Africa.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve budgeted sales and growth rates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to position MECS Africa as a preferred supplier.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to develop and implement marketing strategies.
  • Manage sales staff, including mentorship and training programs, to ensure effective sales performance.
  • Formulate sales policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Process orders and contracts into production, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Organize an effective administrative system to maintain documentation and track sales progress.

Requirements:

  • Marketing qualification with technical knowledge in fabrication.
  • Proven sales experience in SMPP fabrication discipline with a focus on Sub-Sahara Africa.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001/2008 Quality Management System.
  • Ability to travel extensively.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Reaching pre-agreed budgeted sales and gross margin ratios.
  • Ensuring product range sales growth at budgeted levels.
  • Maintaining an open and honest relationship with management and peers.

Business Fundamentals:

  • Drive up volumes and negotiate prices up.
  • Reduce costs and increase profitability.
