Role OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior FET Phase Educator to join our team as a Blended Learning Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving student achievement by maintaining high expectations for classroom culture, behavior, and academic growth for all scholars.
The ideal candidate will be computer literate and savvy, with a strong passion for education and a commitment to delivering high-quality learning experiences. They will work collaboratively with teachers and school administrators to create personalized learning plans for students and lead intervention sessions to support low-performing scholars.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver academic and clubs lessons, both face-to-face and online
- Assist students with computer programs and ensure that educational software meets their needs
- Communicate and collaborate with teachers and school administrators to create personalized learning plans
- Lead intervention sessions to support low-performing scholars
- Report damages to hardware and fill out incident reports as needed
- Participate in professional development sessions and develop and administer formative and termly assessments
- Submit and analyze scholar data to track progress and intervene when necessary
- Lead scholar social and emotional development through CQ sessions and reflections
- Plan and deliver programs to support low-performing scholars or extend high-performing scholars
- Participate in place-based education and career and tertiary pathways education
- Develop SPARK culture and implement behavior management strategies
- Communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders
- Grade 12/Matric Certificate
- Studying part-time towards a B.Ed Senior/FET phase or PGCE Senior/FET Phase
- Specialization in Mathematics with ability and experience to teach FET specifically
- Clear/Clean criminal record
- English language fluency
- SACE provisional registration
